Attitude
Very keen - especially on gigging or just jamming, which I haven't done for the past 5 or so years now. I don't take myself very seriously at all, and if I'm not having a good time doing something, I'd rather not be doing it.
Influences
Johnny Ramone, Malcolm and Angus Young, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Pete Townshend, Tony Iommi, Hank Marvin, Mark Knopfler, Brian May, Jeff Beck and more - broadly speaking, Brit Invasion, 70s Punk and Hard Rock, various Metal rhythm guitarists. Diverse, I know.
Bands I have found influential include
The Beatles, Ramones, The Who, The Shadows, The Ventures, Pink Floyd, Cream, The Doors, CCR, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Dire Straits, Talking Heads, The Clash, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple,
White Zombie/Rob Zombie, Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, System of a Down, Orphaned Land, Metsatoll, Eluveitie, Korpiklaani (folk metal in general)
Have a sneaking fondness for powerpop and 80s metal (yep)
I'm no shredder (no illusions about my technical ability in that direction), but Paul Gilbert frequently blows my mind.
