Attitude

In the last 15 years since starting out at a very young age with her very first instrument, Christina Autumn Taylor (formerly Christopher Colton Dugger) set out to write music and lyrics that is entirely of her original creative wordplay, thus allowing her to express herself fully with her personal experiences, her thoughts and her feelings, covering all topics and issues while never running out of things to say. Since having left rehab in December 2013, Christina struggled to find herself in music again. She had just left Massachusetts with just a few bags and her two guitars, traveled all throughout the East Coast on a Greyhound bus just to end up in her home state of Texas again. It took some doing and some soul searching, but Christina has truly found herself once again. However, in recent years due to trying to create a project worthy to be Taylor's successor, lack of resources, funds, drugs, booze, self-abuse and so forth has long plagued the planning and creations of her former projects. But in late 2012, Ms. Taylor was very confident in seeking the right members for her former projects as well developing its style, look, image and reputation to become one of the most sadomasochistic, twisted and darkest musical projects ever to exist. But having broken up in recent 2014 this year due to recently coming out as Transgender to her former bandmates and the entire staffing team of Dysfunctional Studios, Christina has gone into hiatus until most recently after a very intriguing conversation with one of her best friends, Jay Switchcraft and Aeryn Sin about going solo full-time. She then came up with the moniker influenced by an friend of hers known as the Princess of Lyrical Vendettas, a nickname based on her taking revenge on the music industry who left her behind because of her gender identity and ignored her for so long. So after having gotten into a very big fight with her family, she packed up her shit and moved into her old recording studio house way out into the country to reassemble herself and go back to her music, thus creating something entirely different and completely original unlike anything her fans has ever heard of. She combines many genres/sub-genres thus never resorting to any image but her own. Her songwriting process is twisted, somewhat Schizophrenic yet brutal and unaffected by the mainstream which corrupts their listeners nowadays with lies and hypocritical superficiality. Her lyrics comes from the heart, unafraid to speak her mind on just about anything, which might land the eccentric Transgender Goddess a spot as Corey Taylor's successor as the Next Great Big Mouth. Her vocals is something to behold when she's creating music to go with the brutally honest lyrics she has written over the years. Her grungy, howling-like screams, her somewhat sorrowful and extreme combinations of melodic harmonic vocals and spitfire subliminal rhymes that allows her to rap to her fullest capacity while mixing up her singing/screaming vocals that would give bands like Linkin Park a run for their money. "I believe that empathy isn't really dead - it's just in hiding. And that's what I'm going to use in my music. I'm going to talk about everything that went down in my life and voice my opinions and point of views on the world, thus allowing me to express myself fully, uncensored and emotionally/mentally raw. I'm tired of the mainstream shit and I think the Independent music industry is totally unappreciated and undervalued, so I'm going to step in and change all that." Looking up to her heroes such as Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, Aaron Lewis of Staind, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, David Draiman of Device/Disturbed, Shaun Morgan of Seether, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Lacey Strum of Flyleaf, Philip Ansemlo of Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Joan Jett, Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse (formerly of Escape The Fate), Chester Bennington of Linkin Park/Dead By Sunrise, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park/Fort Minor, Brian Head Welch and Jonathan Davis of Korn who are the original kings of Nu-Metal, she has branched out into tapping her inner self and using her inspirations/muses to create something completely original and yet so nakedly open and raw. She is not afraid to use her voice to the fullest capacity and push her musical/lyrical creativity limits further and further and take revenge on the music industry with her self-proclaimed nickname, the "Princess of Lyrical Vendettas" and dominate the Independent Music industry with her intricate and beautiful music, holding nothing back. "'Princess of Lyrical Vendettas', the bitch Goddess taking revenge on the music industry?? Now that's not a bad idea (laughs) - whatever, man. I just enjoy making music and I do it for the fans, not the money.", said Christina Taylor herself in a college radio interview 2 months ago. That interview was scrapped due to the college administration folks not accepting transgender-identified musicians/singer-songwriters. Furious with that kind of discrimination, she got sick and tired of people disregarding her and ignoring her completely just because of her gender preferences. "Honestly, I don't give a fuck what people think of me, but they had no fucking right to deny me of my wants and needs and desires. This is my life, my rules. I know no other way to live it. So fuck you!" Very passionate with her music, she also has taken on other projects such as her writing career, her photography/artistic projects, starting out in independent film making/acting/modeling and currently recording her newest solo album with her singer-songwriter persona and the release date is set for later on this year in 2014. Determined to change her ways and try hard to become a better soul and work even harder to be whole again, she has decided to overcome everything wrong in her life and make it right again. Kinky, queer, an formerly homeless youth client in Larkin Street Youth Services, etc., she is back and ready to kick ass again.
