Nothing too serious, just looking for a gutarist and/or bassist to jam once or twice a week. Down to just jam, play covers, or write a couple new songs. Not trying to play a bunch of gigs right away, but if it came up in the future, would be willing to. I just permanently moved into the area from Chicago and am trying to get a full time job down here so I'm not trying to make a career of it. Had a band through high school, played a few battle of the bands and recorded a full album before everybody went their seperate ways for college. Looking for somebody with decent experience (need not be a professional musician, but if u picked up a guitar for the first time last week, jamming might not be that fun). It would be cool if you are around my age (23), and no drug addicts either. Not tryin to jam for 10 minutes then sit around gettin high for the next 2 hours.

Influences

90's/00's Alternative Rock like Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon, weezer, My Morning Jacket, Radiohead, Wilco, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Some Jam/Funk like moe., Galactic, G Love, Umphrey's McGee, Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule. Also some classic rock like The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Allman Brothers. Not much country, but into a few southern rock/folk bands like Lucero and Drive By Truckers.

Equipment

Drum set, can jam at my place as long as it isn't too late at night. No mics or recording equipment unfortunately, but hopefully in the future I will be able to invest in them. Also have congas and bongos, but not nearly as experienced with them.
