Attitude
I've started writing more in the singer-songwriter / folkish genre lately, with a little southern influence thrown in. My music is out on Apple Music, Spotify, etc. and at joepopemusic.com if you'd like to have a listen. If I time this right I'll be releasing a single every couple of months and eventually releasing album #2 early 2022. I'm looking to build a small acoustic band to play my songs and those written by others in the band. Open to playing some covers too. Focus would be on acoustic guitar, light percussion, keys, and would love to have a cellist since I added that in my last 4 songs (and hope to do more). A lot of my more recent songs have had that mix. I have a full time career, and don't do this for the money - but if we can make some that would be awesome. No age requirements, but while I do take it seriously - I won't be touring unless we really hit it big. Looking for similar mindset. I live in the Virginia Highland area so lots of places to play around here.
Influences
Lumineers, Ray LaMontagne, Nathaniel Rateliff, and a bunch of Indie Artists that haven't made it yet, 70's singer songwriters and everything in between.
Equipment
I have a pretty simple setup but can handle my own. We can figure out what we need based on the group that comes together.
