I've played the piano since I was six and I've played the cello since I was ten. Although I have played in an orchestra and have played in lots of recitals as a kid, I never have been a part of a real band.
I would like to start (or possibly be part of) an experimental band. I want to play, write and explore music that is original, organic, sonically cohesive, and pushes the boundaries. I'm not really interested in any cover/tribute bands, so for the love of all that is good and pure, don't ask me about that please. I'm currently writing music, simply by improvising on the piano. Currently right now, i'm just improvising on the piano (I record myself more or less every day improvising for 30 minutes). I also have perfect pitch (recognizing the exact pitch of a tone), which could be a useful asset to the band.
You can find my improvisations on my soundcloud here:
If you're in my band (or if I'm in your band) I will value your talent & opinion.
Don' EVER hesitate or feel awkward to contact me. I'm down for music just about any day (unless something comes up of course)!
Radiohead, Björk, Deerhoof, Prince, Kate Bush, Sigur Ros, Talk Talk, Bon Iver, PJ Harvey, Maxwell, Miles Davis, Sufjan Stevens. Interestingly, music from the composer Krzysztof Penderecki is starting to grow on me nowadays.
As for newer influences, I would say: Jenny Hval, Fever Ray, FKA Twigs, Panopticon, Kamasi Washington, Gazelle Twin, Chelsea Wolfe, Arca, Baths
